As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening the agricultural value chain, FCBL’s Regional Director for the Western Region has formally signed an agreement with eight farmer groups from Wangduephodrang Dzongkhag for the supply of fresh fruits and vegetables (FFV) to Khotokha Gyalsung Academy. The initiative was facilitated by the Regional Agricultural Marketing Division (RAMD), Phuentsholing, under the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives (DAMC). The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from DAMC, Dzongkhag Agriculture Extension Officers, and other local officials, underscoring strong inter-agency coordination and collaboration. The agreement aims to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of fresh produce to Khotokha Gyalsung Academy, while simultaneously creating sustainable market opportunities for farmers in Wangduephodrang Dzongkhag. FCBL expressed its sincere appreciation to DAMC, Dzongkhag officials, and the participating farmer groups for their continued support and trust. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening local supply systems, enhancing food security, and promoting a more resilient and sustainable agricultural ecosystem in Bhutan, including coordination from Phuentsholing.
