The Chief Executive Officer of the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) had the honour of meeting Her Excellency Mrs. Maleka Parveen, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Bhutan, in Thimphu. The meeting served as an important platform to reaffirm the longstanding friendship between Bhutan and Bangladesh while exploring new opportunities for enhanced trade, business collaboration, and economic cooperation between the two countries. During the discussions, the CEO highlighted FCBL’s mandates and shared information on Bhutan’s key agricultural commodities, including potatoes and potato seeds, cardamom, and ginger. He also expressed FCBL’s strong interest in strengthening import and export partnerships with Bangladesh, with a focus on expanding market access, promoting bilateral trade, and fostering sustainable economic growth for mutual benefit. Her Excellency congratulated the CEO on his appointment and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to facilitating stronger business and trade relations between Bhutan and Bangladesh.
