On 16th August 2025, the FCBL convened its Annual Business Conclave in the serene valley of Paro, coinciding with the Corporation's 51st Foundation Day. The occasion commemorated the establishment of FCBL under the farsighted vision of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. More than a celebration of over five decades of dedicated service to the nation, the day served as a profound moment of reflection, gratitude, and pride in FCBL's journey-while also renewing a collective sense of inspiration and purpose as the Corporation charts its course for the future. The day commenced with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by detailed presentations on the business performance of its regions. The Conclave brought together officials from the Corporate Headquarters, Regional Offices, Warehouses, and Auction Yards-serving as a strategic platform to deliberate on priorities, identify growth opportunities, and reaffirm FCBL's commitment to advancing its vision and enhancing service delivery. As part of the program, participants also underwent Fire Safety Training, conducted by the Civil Fire Training Institute. The session focused on identifying potential fire disaster risks and equipping the team with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage fire-related emergencies. Given the scale of stock managed across its warehouses, FCBL places the highest priority on safety and risk management. In addition, the Conclave also recognized excellence across regional operations through the awarding of the Best Performing Sales Outlets. Khuruthang Warehouse, Gelephu Wholesale Outlet, and Mongar Warehouse emerged as the top-performing outlets in the Phuentsholing, Gelephu, and Samdrup Jongkhar regions respectively. Each outlet was honored with a Certificate of Excellence and a cash award as a token of appreciation for their outstanding contributions. This recognition initiative aims not only to celebrate success but also to foster a culture of healthy competition, innovation, and dedication, thereby motivating teams to sustain their momentum and set new benchmarks in performance.
